Once the qEEG is complete, Lea prepares a protocol for your Neurofeedback treatment. You will wear a cap with several sensors that are connected to a computer. The computer software detects and records your brain activity. You can see this information instantaneously on the computer screen. As activity in a desirable frequency band increases (or decreases depending on your specific protocol), the screen display rewards you, for instance by moving faster or becoming brighter, while the audio rewards with a sound. Eventually, your brain responds to the cues and takes on new, healthier brainwave patterns. As your brainwaves are normalized, this becomes permanent in most cases, unless another or ongoing trauma occurs.
